Eid Al-Adha has been declared to be observed on Friday, July 31, 2020. Salat al-Eid will be held at Attawheed Islamic Center and pre-registration is a requirement for attendance.

Instructions
- To attend the prayers YOU MUST REGISTER USING THE LINK PROVIDED BELOW.
- No one who has a fever, cough, or had contact with a COVID-19 patient is allowed to register or attend.
- Please note, admission for prayer may not be allowed unless you are registered.
- Please note that you have to register and attend for the right prayer time-slot. Registration will end upon reaching full capacity of every time-slot or at 11:59 pm Thursday night altogether, whichever happens first.
- Only up to 50% capacity will be allowed at any given time in the Masjid, per PA Green Phase guidelines.
- AIC has moral commitment to protect the health and safety of all patrons, particularly the most vulnerable to the be affected by an infection. Therefore, AIC will abide by the PA Governor’s rules and by the guidelines from health experts.

To begin phased reopening on June 5, 2020 for Friday prayer (which will be reviewed weekly), AIC has instituted

- For your safety and the safety of our Community members, we recommend that people who are at high risk should pray at home. We will adjust our guidance to continue to comply with guidelines from the state and the CDC.
- You MUST bring your own prayer rug and face mask. No one will be allowed to enter the Masjid, if they do not have a prayer rug with them and a face mask.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided at the door. Please use it before entering the Masjid and when leaving. If you have your own mini hand sanitizer, please bring.
- Abide by the 6ft separation between brothers while entering or leaving the Masjid. Do not crowd to try to enter ahead or leave early.
- Abide by the 6ft separation between brothers during prayer areas that are marked in the prayer hall for everybody’s convenience
- Wudu (Ablution) should be done at home. Wudu area/bathrooms will be opened only in emergency situations
- No hand shaking or hugs – reminders will be posted at entrances. There will be verbal reminders from volunteers to each individual as they enter,
- No books or literature should be handled while in the Masjid, including Qur’aan books. Please bring your own.
- No congregating before or after prayers. Please exit as soon as the prayer is over to allow for cleaning and disinfecting for the next prayer.
- There will 3 Jumu'ah prayers each Friday (12 pm, 1 pm, & 2 pm). The doors will open 10 mins before each prayer.
- We emphasize for Jumu'ah prayers: you must register online. When allowed registration capacity is reached, the sign up/registration form will be disabled. In shaa Allah you will receive confirmation email that you will need to show at the door to gain entry. You have to attend at the prayer time for which you successfully registered for.
Guidelines for the State of Pennsylvania
Governor Wolf has released a plan to reopen Pennsylvania and to start lifting stay-at-home orders beginning May 8, 2020. This will occur in three phases (red, yellow, and green) and certain precautions must be taken in each stage. Regions of the state may move from the red phase to the yellow phase if averaging less than 50 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 residents over a 14-day period.
It was then further announced on 5/29/2020 that that most counties in southwestern Pennsylvania, including Allegheny, are to be designated as green June 5, which further allows their economies to reopen and with fewer restrictions. However, CDC guidelines are still encouraged to be observed.

Jumu'ah Prayer on Eid day is optional and there will be only one prayer held at 12:00 pm. Registration to attend the prayer is required.

Our HistoryAttawheed Islamic Center (AIC) was established by graduate students from Saudi Arabia attending University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University and registered on June 12, 1995 with the State of Pennsylvania as a non-profit religious organization providing religious services for Muslims residing in the western areas of Pittsburgh and the western suburbs.
