Dress Codes

 "...certainly a masjid founded on piety from the very first day is more deserving that you should stand in it; in it are men who love that they should be purified; and Allah loves those who purify themselves." [Suraht Attawbah, verse 108]

Everyone attending Masjid is required to adhere to Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet PBUH in dressing, manners, and behavior as concluded by majority of Scholars.  We require all to strictly adhere to the dress code.

 

Men are required to dress modestly.

Chest bare tops are not allowed.

Area between the belly button and the knees must be covered.

If wearing short pants, it is recommended for it to be below the knees.

Tight pants or pants with soft material that defines the contour of the private parts are not allowed.

 

Women are required to dress modestly with the following restrictions:

Women are required to wear Islamic Hijab. Hijab is defined as being the face and hands are only allowed to be exposed. The face is defined between the ear line and below the hair line to the chin. The hands boundaries is at the wrist joints.

The dress should not inappropriately define body parts contour.

No pants or jeans allowed

No tight dresses or transparent ones showing any skin

Head covers are available for Sisters who come without one. Enshaa Allah, full body cover will be made available in limited quantity for Muslims and non-Muslims who like to visit the Mosque.


 

Codes of Conduct

Mixing and socializing of opposite genders is not allowed.

The Islamic Center is a no smoking zone at all times which includes the parking lot and neighboring areas of the property.

Inappropriate language, gestures, or loud noise is not allowed.

Running and shouting is not allowed anywhere inside the premises.  Parents are responsible to control their kids immediately when they find them misbehaving.

Food and beverages may only be consumed in the designated areas of the building.

Please set cell phones to vibrate or silence before entering the prayer room.
